This week we announced the line-up for our 2021 events programme. We have listened to our members, heard the challenges they are facing, and have curated a series of (for now) online webinars that will support all our members decarbonise, adapt to climate change and deliver positive environmental impacts.
We are delighted to be working with a whole host of speakers, some from within our network and others carefully selected for their expertise and knowledge.
In January, we will be hearing from Thrive Renewables and Triodos Bank on the state of the renewable energy sector, and how different funding models can support a clean energy transition.
In March, David Symons, UK Director for Sustainability at WSP will be taking us through Scope 3 emissions – how to identify, prioritise and take action on Scope 3 emissions in the context of net zero and science-based targets.
We will also be launching our new event series for 2021, which will take Fit for the Future members through a sustainable project lifecycle - from design to completion. Over the course of the year we will cover topics including responsible retrofit, building performance gaps, projects for nature and biodiversity, and sustainable resources. This series will particularly help those members working on grant-funded projects from some of our partners, such as National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Architectural Heritage Fund. As part of this series we have some inspirational case studies lined up from our own members, including Forestry England, Museum of the Home, and the Sustainable Traditional Buildings Alliance.
All this alongside our regular special interest groups for Carbon and Energy, Climate Change Adaptation, Waste and Circular Economy, and more.
Our events are free for our members to attend, with recordings available following the session. You can see the full line-up and register here, or contact us if you would like to join the network to attend these events and benefit from the full range of Fit for the Future services.
