Visit the award-winning commercial woods at Thoresby Estate in the heart of Sherwood Forest and learn about its sustainable wood fuel cycle, from restoring the estate’s native woodland to growing their own fuel. Plus find out how they are renovating and reducing energy in their heritage farm buildings.

The site visit will include:

Renewable heat technologies – learn about the woodchip enterprise and see the woodchip barn and biomass boiler in action
Reducing energy in heritage buildings – a focus on the challenges of renovating listed buildings
Woodland management and conservation – go on a tour of the ancient oaks of Sherwood Forest
Lunch, refreshments and plenty of time for networking

Cancellation Policy:

This event is free however there will be a cancellation fee of £60 for those that cancel within ten days of booking. This is so that others who may be on the waiting list have the opportunity to attend. Members can find a replacement within their organisation.
