Perched atop the mighty castle mound raised by William the Conqueror in 1068, English Heritage’s Clifford’s Tower was the keep and chief strongpoint of York Castle, one of the greatest fortresses in medieval England. Following a multi-million-pound conservation and re-interpretation project, Cliffords Tower will re-open to the public in spring 2022.
English Heritage and contractor Ramboll will provide an overview of the life cycle carbon assessment of this project, including the use of sustainable materials and approaches.
