How can organisations tell better stories about climate change that don't feed people's feelings of powerlessness or make it a polarising topic? How can we communicate effectively about climate adaptation decisions? Or about sustainability and net zero ambitions? The answer lies not in having to choose between hope vs. fear, but in telling stories of doing. Join this interactive session to find out the huge benefits of this approach, and how to turn it into practice.

This interactive session will be led Kris De Meyer; a neuroscientist, science communicator, and director of the UCL Climate Action Unit (CAU). The CAU is working with the National Trust on developing a people-centred climate adaptation approach. With digital studio Fast Familiar, Kris developed The Strategy Room - an immersive scenario for net zero - funded by NESTA. In the COP26 Green Zone, they delivered Do What You Must, an immersive story scenario linking climate risk information to business decision making. Kris co-produced Right Between Your Ears - an award-winning documentary exploring how people become entrenched in their views.
