Join us for a unique opportunity to collaborate with other organisations on the challenges of climate change in the cultural sector.

The Climate Resilience in the Cultural Sector conference (6th March at the British Library) provided practical strategies, actions and resources to support cultural organisations to prepare - through resilience and adaptation - for the challenges of a changing climate.  Attendees were able to see examples of understanding and planning for climate risks from peers in the cultural and public sectors with speakers from the Met Office, Greater London Authority, the British Library and National Trust demonstrating how to understand and predict where climate risks may occur and where increased resilience can protect organisations, operations, people and visitors.

An important outcome of the conference was to ensure that the sharing of research, practical actions, lessons learnt and resources continues in this critical area.  To also enable collaboration and partnership opportunities to be developed.

At this online workshop we will:

1.    review learnings and actions that came out from the conference,

2.    ensure the various research and resources which were shared on the day are captured and circulated,

3.    review the need for an ongoing working group and (if needed) agree it’s purpose, format, frequency, membership, and who will convene it.

This online workshop is aimed at those responsible for leading on climate risk / resilience / adaptation in cultural organisations and sector bodies.  All are welcome to attend, whether you attended the conference on the 6th March or not.  You can book your free place here.

Once registered, we will be in touch with further details.
