We're delighted to announce a unique Fit for the Future opportunity to hear about and see sustainability at network member Chester Zoo.
The day will start at 10:00 with breakfast, networking and a presentation and Q&A on sustainability at Chester Zoo, with Jennifer Kelly (Head of Sustainability at Chester Zoo). You will hear about the organisation's sustainability policy, targets and action to deliver sustainability as a global conservation charity and the most visited, paid for attraction outside of London. We'll then open up to a group discussion on some of the key sustainability challenges and opportunities and sharing knowledge and solutions. Lunch will then be provided.
After lunch we will then head off for site visits of Chester Zoo (weather dependent), a unique opportunity to see some of Chester Zoo's sustainability action. The day will then come to a close at 16:00.
There will then be some time at the end of the day for members to have some free time in the zoo if they would like to have an explore until the zoo closes at 17:00.
The site visits will require some walking, if you have any mobility issues please contact the Fit for the Future team directly for further details. We will do all we can to make the site visits accessible to all.
Parking is available at the zoo's Main Entrance, a frequent bus service connects Chester train station to the zoo and it's accessible on foot and bike, including bike storage available at the Main Entrance. You can explore your travel options here.
Numbers are limited and places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
We look forward to seeing you at the zoo!
